Do I need a referral?

Our physiotherapy services are available without a doctor's referral for your convenience. If you have a referral letter, please bring it to your first appointment for a smoother process. Note that a referral is required for WorkCover or DVA coverage.

Can I get a Medicare rebate?

Generally, physiotherapy is not included under standard Medicare provisions; however, individuals with chronic conditions may benefit from a Team Care Arrangment (TCA) (formally known as an Enhanced Primary Care Plan, EPC) issued by their General Practitioner (GP). This plan permits claims for up to five physiotherapy visits per calendar year, contingent upon the GP's assessment and recommendations based on the patient's specific health needs.

How long does the session go for?

Our standard initial consultation is 45 minutes, allowing adequate time for a thorough assessment as well as treatment on your first visit. Subsequent consultations are 30 minutes. In some cases, long subsequents may be advised for certain circumstances, for example, when treating more than 1 complaint.

I would like a home visit, what should I expect?

Our home physiotherapy service begins with a comprehensive safety and risk assessment conducted over the phone prior to your initial appointment, ensuring a secure environment for our practitioners.

 

During the scheduled visit, our qualified Physiotherapist will arrive equipped with all necessary tools to evaluate your condition and collaboratively develop a tailored plan addressing your specific goals and concerns. We may utilise a treatment bed or your existing furniture to facilitate the assessment, ensuring comfort and convenience throughout the process. 

 

At the conclusion of the first visit, our physiotherapist will provide personalised recommendations and initiate treatment, with the option for follow-up appointments as needed. To streamline the process, our reception staff will contact you post-visit to facilitate payment over the phone, ensuring a seamless experience.
